The David H. Lawson Foundation was organized for charitable and educational purposes to benefit citizens with developmental and/or other intellectual disabilities.
Dr. David Lawson was committed to expanding opportunities and enhancing the quality of life of persons with developmental and/or other intellectual disabilities for over 30 years.
The Foundation is continuing his legacy by supporting programs and initiatives to increase access to quality services.
We envision organizations and individuals working collaboratively and creatively to satisfy the needs and choices of the consumers we are dedicated to supporting.
Donation/Grant Award Received!
The David H. Lawson Foundation would like to thank the Harry & Zoe Poole Foundation for their generous donation/grant award of $5,000.00. This contribution will help to fund another dental outreach event to provide free services for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities that lack access to services, in fall 2015.
In order to implement a dental outreach event in fall 2015, approximately $5,000.00 in additional funds will be needed for dental equipment, stipend to dentist/director, and miscellaneous dental supplies.

ServiceSource Open House & Resource Fair
The David H. Lawson Foundation (DHLF)participated in ServiceSource’s Open House and Resource Fair held at their new Oakton Community Resource Center office on March 27, 2015.
Along with many other partner and colleague service providers, the DHLF provided information about the Foundation to the Open House guests, and answered questions at our resource table. Present were a number of County elected and appointed officials, as well as families and others.
Present from the DHLF were Board members Roger Hartman, Joy Felegie, and Mark Diorio. Volunteer Pat Connell also helped to greet guests, hand out brochures and answer questions about the Foundation.
